The Salon zur Wilde Renate opened an open-air branch called Else on 23 June 2013. The shop is really located directly at the bridge, on the side where the S-Bahn station “Treptower Park” is located. There is a lot of traffic over the Elsenbrücke, which connects Friedrichshain and Treptow. You can marvel at the Moilecule Man and have a good view of the MTV terrain. Under the bridge several Open Airs took place. some even on barges near the bridge. The S-Bahn Treptower park is nearby. you can actually see directly down to the Open Air Club. The Else Club is not difficult to find. Even from a distance you can see the many glowing disco balls. On the street, containers painted in black and silver pile up. Above the dance floor there are 16 loudspeakers, which pour the sound from above onto the loudspeakers. The system is actually much too large and runs in the minimum range. At full power, the Alliance Tower would vibrate,”says Tony Ettelt, the operator. Else Club starts every Sunday from 10am.
After the Else has been rebuilt, everything is now covered with wood flooring. To the right is a kind of platform to sit on. In the front, even before you get to the main area, which is situated a bit deeper, there are the toilets and a kind of snack bar. At the bottom left is the bar. On the left, construction containers are stretching along the road, offering a weatherproof chill-out area. At the end of the day is the DJ and a roofed possibility to sit. Above is an open terrace with beach chairs.
