After taking a year off, Berlin’s premier underground alternative music festival – SYNÄSTHESIE returns with a new vision by teaming up with the legendary 8MM Bar to launch – 8MM Fest — a two-day, seven-stage takeover featuring 18 artists from across the spectrum of noise, punk, drone, and experimental sound. Local newcomers collide with international heavyweights in a festival built on networking, diversity, and strengthening the music community.
The lineup cuts straight to the core: A Place to Bury Strangers (NYC, noise rock icons), Divide & Dissolve (AUS, politically charged doom/drone), Snapped Ankles (UK, experimental post-punk), Ceremony East Coast (Brooklyn, lo-fi noise), ZAHN (Berlin, kraut/post-punk), Test Plan (London, dance-punk noise rock), Sexverbot (Berlin, punk), and RIP Swirl — among others. Together, they embody the festival’s DNA: raw, intense, uncomfortably beautiful.
Stages come alive under the curation of Salon Oblique, 8MM, Shameless/Limitless, and New Colossus Festival, with performances spread across some of Berlin’s most iconic spaces: Zionskirche, 8MM Bar, Acud Macht Neu, Kesselhaus and Machinehaus.

One of the highlights of the festival will be Salon Oblique’s “Night of the Long Call” — a powerful, one-night takeover of the historic Zionskirche. Through a site-specific installation and performances, the Berlin-based collective will pay tribute to the pivotal events that unfolded in the church in 1987.
