Kyiv festival Art – Weapon! debuts in Berlin on the anniversary of the war in Ukraine, presenting a full day and night of rich, inspiring culture. Expect painters, musicians and all kinds of performers.

​​We present Ukrainian art as a weapon against the aggressor at the first “Art – Weapon!” festival in Berlin.

For 11 months of the full-scale war, we have become stronger and more confident in our victory over the aggressor. We, as Ukrainians, have lived through so much pain, sadness, and despair over the past year, but our strength and hope have not faded despite all this. The symbol of our will and courage during this time was Ukrainian art, by artists of different art directions created even in the most challenging periods as an act of resistance to the oppression of the invaders. Our culture has endured an eternal struggle for Ukrainian authenticity for centuries against those who have wanted to destroy and eradicate it. Now, this struggle has reached its climax. We want to share these emotions with the world at the first “Art – Weapon!” Festival in Germany.

This event in Berlin will reflect contemporary Ukrainian art on a wide scale. Timed to coincide with the anniversary of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Art-Weapon will present the full range of newly emerging culture during wartime from our musicians, painters, performers, and other artists. After all, the strength of Ukrainians is in the diversity of our vision, feelings, and experiences, united in a single idea of the victory of light over darkness.

We will soon share more about the „Art – Weapon!“ festival in Berlin. Today, we are opening the pre-sale of the first tickets to the festival. We will distribute the funds raised from the ticket sales to artists and funds that support the Ukrainian military.
