Four Tet - Berlin @ UFO im Velodrom

Anyone who experienced the last Berlin show by Kieran Hebden, aka Four Tet, at the Tempodrom may be feeling the euphoria of that night even now, pleasantly crackling in their memory. The musician, DJ and producer played for no less than four hours, alternating remixes with his own compositions, interspersing noisy and spherical improvisations, at times relying on rave energy and at others gently calming the crowd with his ambient sounds – so that the next drop would hit all the more powerfully.

In March of next year, Four Tet will return to Berlin to set out on a four-hour spacey sound journey at UFO. His 12th solo album, “Three”, was released in March 2024 and beautifully oscillates between ambient sounds and UK garage rhythms. Tracks like the gentle opener “Loved” are likely to make any concert crowd heave a collective sigh, while the epic “Three Drums” celebrates what also characterizes his shows: highly emotional sounds that, on the one hand, move the body but, on the other, also fire the heart and the mind.

There’s no question about it: Four Tet is one of those musicians who know how to turn a night into a very unique narrative – with a soundtrack that only he can deliver.
