COSMIN TRG (work presentation without artist)
Cosmin Nicolae aka Cosmin TRG is a multi-disciplinary artist working with image, sound, text to produce works of intimate reflection at the intersection of autoethnography, psychogeography and possible futures. Opening the door on Hessle Audio over a decade ago – an outlet that has gone on to become a defining voice within electronic music in the 21st Century, Nicolae’s list of affiliations reads like a who’s who of top tier contemporary dance music record labels.

LUISE ENZIAN & KAAN BULAK
Luise Enzian is a baroque harpist who challenges her instrument, arranges it and continues to research it. Kaan Bulak is a composer and music producer between Istanbul and Berlin, in whose works the boundaries between electronic and acoustic sounds blur. Together they lead the timbre of early music on the baroque harp into its own electro-acoustic sound.

MARTYNA POZNAŃSKA
Martyna Poznańska is an interdisciplinary artist who works with different media across disciplines, building connections between the intangible medium of sound and solid matter. This includes the practice of active listening and field recording in tangent to working with various visual tools such as video, installation, her own body, and drawing, as well as listening workshops and soundwalks.

ZO
Visual musician Tarik Barri expresses himself through his constantly developing self-programmed 3D audiovisual space. Lea Fabrikant creates, destroys and compiles her environments using her voice and various materials to distort her message through the lens of the digital world. As Zo, the duo employ an intricate system of pre-recorded AV loops, MIDI triggers and creative programming to create a virtual universe of sound and light in real time, exploring this universe in hypnotic, improvised performances.

KLANGBOX x Zora Auguste is a concert series with audio(visual) acts that refer to sound art and express a variety of perspectives. Each edition is presenting different approaches while the musicians are invited to question familiar sounds and instruments. Boundary areas are explored – be it through classical instruments, electronic production, avant-garde approaches, improvisation or ideas linked to visual expressions. For each of the three KLANGBOX editions, four half-hour contributions by artists will be presented together in a salon concert like a live sound gallery, including one audiovisual performance. The visual works will also be available as limited art prints, the audio works as double cassette boxes and digital releases. As a reverberation of the concerts, individual sounds of the performances can be experienced as an installation in a „room box“ in the basement (opening hours 2.-12.9. / Thursdays to Sundays 12-18h).

KLANGBOX is curated and presented by Feral Note, a Berlin label focusing on electro-acoustic art music. The venue, gallery and showroom Zora Auguste (Leipziger Str. 60, 10117 Berlin), has been created by two art and design lovers, Nella Beljan and Marie Wez. The ground floor area with high ceilings will have a quadrophonic concert setting; the basement area used as a bank vault in GDR times, offers special echo acoustics for the installation with individual sounds, presented with radial loudspeakers.
