Saturday’s Programme:

Dai Burger [US]
Mixing bourbon with acid, psychedelic rap diva Dai (pronounced “Day”) Burger creates a sexually charged, technicolor soundscape by combining the unapologetic bite of 2000s Hip Hop with the lighthearted fun of ‘70s Gogo. From the club cuts on her breakout “In Ya Mouf” mixtape to the empowerment anthems and starry R&B cuts on 2017’s critically acclaimed “Soft Serve,” Dai’s diverse body of work highlights both her sonic range and ability to maintain a distinct sense of self throughout. 2019’s upcoming “Bite the Burger” promises to take that unique sound and larger-than life attitude to new heights.

Golin [US/NL]
Golin is a Japanese-American artist, singer, producer, classically trained pianist and performance artist born in Tagawa, Japan. Her songs create J-pop hallucinations filled with emotional punch and zeitgeist club urgency . An alumni of California Institute of the Arts, her live performances carry a strong and visceral focus on the possibilities of the body, powered by a spontaneity that turns her shows into perpetually surprising cinematic experiences. While many might have first heard her as Rin, featuring on Ziúr’s track „Lilith“, Golin released her entirely self-produced debut EP ‘Momo’ in 2017 on 12” vinyl through Belgian label Midlife Music. A collaborative effort with producer Buga called ‚Fushigi‘ quickly followed the next year, courtesy of Shanghai’s Genome 6.66 Mbp label. Following a two-year residency at Brussels‘ favorite cultural house Beursschouwburg and a year as part of the European SHAPE network’s platform, Golin is set to release a new EP in the latter half of 2019.

Rahrah Gabor [US]
RahRah Gabor is a rapper & songwriter who is, in a word, unruly. She’s also an amalgam of all the things that makes unruly rappers great: critical presence, pointed lyricism, hood savvy, a unique sense of style and an incorrigible self-possession that bucks at any and all nay-sayers. In her own words, she’s “hip hop’s Omar Little. Only prettier.”

Crystallmess [FR]
Based in Paris banlieues, CHRISTELLE OYIRI is a DJ, producer, freelance sound designer and contributes to platforms including i-D, Guardian, Noisey, Complex UK, Dazed & Confused, M le Magazine du Monde, NON Quarterly. When she gets behind the desks and lets her hair down, she goes by the name of CRYSTALLMESS, and delves into fertile subcultures and corners of the past in her show « Unleashed » on Radar Radio. Influenced by the work of the Cybernetic Culture Research Unit of the University of Warwick, her multidisciplinary practice allows her to tackle the subjects of experimental futurisms, digital culture, representation and the black diaspora.

TAYHANA [AR/MX]
Argentinian DJ and producer, TAYHANA has established herself as one of the most powerful musical forces on the South and Central-American dancefloors. Her explosive energy and vast selection of vigorous club tracks, along with an extensive collection of regional hits, make her a favourite of many DJ’s and club-goers. In addition to producing and DJ’ing, TAYHANA also co-founded HiedraH Club de Baile, an essential party continuously revolutionising both the sonic and physical atmospheres of the Buenos Aires underground. HiedraH Club de Baile politically and provocatively dares to play with varying rhythms from “ghettos” around the globe all while pushing and preserving the experimental evolution of their local sound. Currently, TAYHANA is developing her new project, “Encuentros Furtivos” (translated to “Stealthy Encounters” in english), a platform for collaborating with different latin friends and artists, via multiple forms such as music, clothing, and audiovisual elements.

Q-BRA[TR]
Q-BRA is one of the pioneering LGBTQIA+ DJs in Istanbul. She regularly performs in the local scene, some of her past gigs in 2018 include clubs such as MAMA, Kiki, Babylon, Arkaoda, Zor, Mecra, Bina, Roxy, Kitsch, Fotini, Love Dance Point and Suma Beach. During Amsterdam TransPride 2018, Q-BRA participated in Trans United Nederlands‘ Symposium as a keynote speaker, and played a set for Red Light Radio, as well as performing in PROUD Nederlands‘ float at Canal Pride Amsterdam. Her style is eclectic yet fluent. Q-BRA’s range and sensitivity, rooted in classical music education, can easily be recognized while she is playing her sets post-genre, just at ease with house as she is with ethnic sounds or orchestral scores, mixing dance-floor classics with techno beats the next.

DICE Conference + Festival is a three-day event which provides a platform for artists with inventive artistic visions, who are socially conscious, and who are shaping the future. The program includes workshops, panels, lectures and live performances featuring female, trans, and non-binary artists and speakers.
