Strom – Festival for Electronic Music brings the entire spectrum of synthetic sounds to the unique architecture of the Philharmonie Berlin, home of the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra. With Strom, the Philharmonie is sending a strong signal about the variety, creativity and innovative power of Berlin’s music scene. Following the sold-out festival editions in 2020 and 2023, curator Stefan Goldmann has once again put together a top-class line-up.
Highlights include the world premiere of a joint work by Austrian ambient pioneer Fennesz and composer and conductor Oscar Jockel, directing an ensemble featuring members of the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra; one of Alva Noto’s rare live sets, and DJ sets by key figures from Berlin, the capital of techno, such as Ellen Allien and Ben Klock – the latter with a back to back set with Fadi Mohem.
