WG Berlin Bar

Malplaquetstraße 43, 13347 Berlin

Olaf Fehrmann, who also runs the Schraders, is doing the WG Berlin Bar. Another shop in Wedding, which is cheap and somehow weird. On Mondays you can bring your favourite music. The first two „suppliers“ even receive a cocktail on the house. Tuesdays is „b-day“, i. e. every pool costs two euros and Wednesdays the „WeinBar“ invites you to visit the „WeinBar“, which costs 2 euros per glass of wine. In the end, you pay what you are willing to pay – as much as you are willing to give. This principle is of course stolen from the „Weinerei“. The shop is, as I said before, also a bit weird. For example, there is a bed in the back room. The seating furniture is rocked out in classic style. The walls are peeled off in an attractive way and form a nice contrast to the hippiesque interior. WG requests for a flat share are pasted on the walls and in some cases provide for considerable cheerfulness. The audience is mixed, mostly students and so-called young-at-heart people. Wedding is not a girls‘ boarding school, so stay cool if the tone doesn’t fit. The Wedding is really a bit alive here and just like in Neukölln, the „colonisation“ with cool locations is also important for the whole environment.
