If your latest track were a TikTok meme, which one would it be – and why?
Probably that one where people just vibe with a glass of wine while the world collapses in the background. It’s effortless, a little tipsy, and way too catchy — exactly like us on The Crémant Sessions.
What picture (or mental reel) describes your sound best?
A table full of empty bottles at 3 a.m., half laughter, half philosophy, with someone still trying to play chords on a plastic keyboard.
Tell me about your biggest studio fail – and how you fixed it.
Honestly… closing a project without saving. Nightmare. Then you sit there rebuilding everything from scratch, trying to remember what you even did.
What’s the most absurd place a track idea has ever hit you?
Slawo : Not super absurd, but it happens: I’m in the kitchen, door closed, while the track is still running in the studio. You only hear this super filtered version of it, and somehow your brain fills in the blanks and new ideas pop up.
Your sound as an emoji – which one and why?
Because it’s bubbly, refreshing, and you’re never sure if you’ll end up tipsy or drowned.
Have you ever made a track you loved but everyone else hated?
You must ask everyone else
What was the moment you realized, “Okay… this is more than a hobby”?
Honestly, we’re not fully there yet — we still need more bookings before we can call it more than a hobby. But passion drives us. Running So Glad Records as our own mini-mini vinyl label is part of that story. Our very first release back in 2015, Love Is Only Moments Away, was vinyl-only — and with Crémant Sessions we’ve gone back to those origins. It’s not “making it big,” but it’s proof we believe in what we do and want to share it in the most authentic way.
Which gig completely threw you off – in the best or worst way?
Best: Back then at Farbfernseher in Berlin. The energy in that room… I’d never experienced anything like it before. (We just had released our first EP)
Worst: In another club they didn’t have enough power, so one synth after another just died, and in the end we had a complete blackout.

Which current trend in the scene annoys you – and which inspires you?
Doing content for the algorithm – and doing content for the algorithm
What needs to change so newcomers can get into the scene more easily?
Less businesspeople I guess or less people just checking your following.
How does your background or environment influence your sound?
We’re both originally from Duisburg, a working-class city whose best years are long gone. But the people there are real and direct — and that shaped us. Our band and even our label grew out of the support of amazing Duisburg friends we first met at a legendary bar called Goldengrün. So we’re not trying to be super cool — we’re just super glad.
Do you have a production trick that really shouldn’t work – but does?
Hmm… maybe throwing some 3/4 samples onto a 4/4 beat?
What’s your ultimate “drop everything and dance” track?
Puuuh.
Which piece of gear would you save if your studio was on fire?
Max: I guess it would be the Octratrack (we have two)– because it is the all-in-one machine.
What’s one sample you’d never give away?
We would say: Samples for everyone!
Analog or digital – and why?
Analog and digital.
What’s the one producer hack that gave you the biggest “aha” moment?
Slawo: Low-cut EQ on every single track that’s not kick or bass. Total game changer.
What’s next for you – and what’s completely new about it?
We want to play more live shows as this is what motivates us most. We are very happy to play two shows in our two hometowns Hamburg (Golden Pudel) and Duisburg (Stapeltor) and celebrate together with all our friends. At the same time, we’ll keep growing So Glad Records as a mini-mini vinyl home. It feels a bit like circling back to our first release in 2015, but with more experience and maybe a few more bottles of crémant along the way.
If you could redesign a club or festival from scratch, what would it look like?
Probably like our label: small, independent, vinyl-first, no hype — just music and people who really care.
If you had to collaborate tomorrow with an artist from a totally different genre, who would it be?
Chilly Gonzales
Imagine it’s 2030, you’re playing your dream set – where is it and what’s the last track you play?
A rooftop in Marseille, overlooking the sea at sunrise. Last track: a slowed-down, slightly drunk edit of one of our own. Because what’s more tourist than playing yourself on repeat? Haha!
