505 release their debut album True At First Light on February 27th, 2026, via FIVEOFIVE x Flake Records Japan, on digital and limited vinyl.

Formed in Berlin by Daniel Calvi and Mattia Prete, the duo present a self-produced record shaped by three years of studio work, improvisation, and careful refinement. The album sits at the intersection of electronic production and live musicianship, blending warm acoustic elements with sharp, modern sound design.

Across nine tracks, True At First Light unfolds with a strong sense of pacing and atmosphere. Trumpets, trombone, double bass, drums, and vocals are woven into electronic frameworks, creating a sound that will resonate with listeners drawn to artists like Portishead, Massive Attack, or Portico Quartet, while maintaining a distinct identity of its own.

Highlights include the slow-burning opener Neve, the expansive title track True At First Light, and the emotionally charged Something Dies and Wasted Time, featuring vocals by Lamia. Each piece contributes to a wider cinematic flow, designed for attentive listening but grounded enough to feel physical and immediate.

The album is pressed in 200 vinyl copies, with 50 special coloured and splattered editions, in collaboration with Flake Records Japan. Mixed by Nico Fanari and mastered at LRS Factory, True At First Light arrives as a focused, confident debut with clear artistic intent. Out February 27th, 2026.
