Record Sounds Like: The project builds a language that spans Italian songwriting, house heritage, R&B, Mediterranean groove, and European club culture.
The album doesn’t present itself as a house album, nor as a traditional pop project, nor as a work exclusively tied to the new contemporary Neapolitan scene. Rather, it constructs a personal synthesis of different worlds: sophisticated Italian pop from the ’90s, the language of classic house, American R&B, Italian melodic sensibility, and a sonic aesthetic that dialogues with a European musical culture attentive to both songwriting and groove.
Blending vocal house, contemporary songwriting, Mediterranean groove and soul sensibility, Only Bee unveils her debut album: a project transforming club culture, emotional songwriting and Mediterranean identity into a sophisticated and deeply personal musical language.
Set for release in late September / early October 2026 via Soul Express Records, “ONLY BEE” is the result of two years of artistic research developed within the creative ecosystem surrounding Soul Express and the contemporary Naples music scene.
Behind the project is Italian singer and songwriter Beatrice De Cristofaro, originally from Southern Italy, who moved to Naples in 2024 searching for a more authentic and personal artistic space. Through the encounter with Whodamanny, Milord and the producers connected to Soul Express, the project naturally evolved through experimentation, collective songwriting and continuous sonic exploration.
The album approaches dance music not simply as club functionality, but as emotional language.
Throughout the record, groove, sensuality, narrative tension and vocal presence coexist naturally, creating a rare balance between immediacy and musical depth.
“ONLY BEE” moves across vocal house, contemporary Italian songwriting, Mediterranean soul-pop and European groove culture without fully belonging to any specific scene.
More than a genre-based project, the album develops a narrative identity suspended between physical movement and emotional vulnerability.
On one side, the record explores more groove-oriented and club-informed tracks built around physical energy, elegant sensuality and contemporary dance culture; on the other, it opens space for more intimate, cinematic and interpretative moments influenced by soul, R&B and late ‘90s / early 2000s Italian songwriting sensibility.
The project features collaborations involving Whodamanny, Thanksmate, Giuseppe Fava, Obbi and 1MorePizzaPls, alongside musicians Roberto Porzio, Daniel Monaco, Michele Morsilli and Daniele Labbate.
Following the release of the singles “Sembra Vero” and “Dimmi”, the album develops an atmosphere shaped by contemporary Mediterranean culture, elegant nightlife, Italian urban cinema, VHS textures and European groove aesthetics.
More than a debut album, “ONLY BEE” represents the first chapter of a personal transformation:
an artistic space where desire, femininity, emotional freedom and self-awareness coexist without filters.
The project belongs to a new contemporary Italian musical sensibility connected to groove culture, selector music, sophisticated songwriting and Mediterranean identity, while completely avoiding both local folklore and nostalgic revival aesthetics.
“ONLY BEE” will be released digitally and on vinyl through Soul Express Records with distribution by Yoyaku / EPM.
