The Los Angeles DJ/Producer Developer presents his new LP Hexmode. The artwork is a portrait of sonic induced witchcraft which explains the album’s darker take on exotic hard groove and those very catchy hypnotic tribal rhythms. It’s modern and interesting, it’s what you want in a dance floor influenced techno album.
William Bernard – NPR Radio© New York: For those who don’t know the history Developer named Adrian Sandoval got his start back in 1992 playing in the backyard party scene before landing a 2 year residency at KSPC 88.7FM a local radio station in California playing weekly before moving on to co-run one of the first techno distributions on the west coast named Entity Distribution. While at Entity he created relationships and began working with artists and labels run by – Jeff Mills (Axis), Richie Hawtin (Plus 8) Submerge in Detroit and Reload Records in Belgium to name a few. As he mentioned throughout the 90s, and 2000s Developer contributed to the rise of the Los Angeles techno scene by performing regularly at warehouse events and also hosting and promoting his own nights bringing various talent to LA from around the globe. In 2009 Developer turned his promotion group „Modularz“ into a record label that has remained consistent over the last 14 years and has now grown into one of the most elite techno labels in the world. Since his also debut has a producer in 2009 Developer has gained a reputation as a high output producer pushing out extremely playable and effective tracks, he continues this with his now official 5th Lp and says in his latest interview that he’s been a DJ for a very long time but as a producer he’s feels like he’s just getting started and is barley comfortable claiming his own style as a true Developer sound. King of groove is what many are calling him and we understand exactly why.
