Drawing influence from various modern luminaries. ghost. refine ideas by injecting glitchy textures and rolling synth arpeggios that evoke a neon-lit race through dystopian city streets. Clocking in at a smooth 174 BPM, “MACHINES” deploys a cavernous low-end pressure undercut by skittering digital synth-work, cascading barrage of razor-edge vocal that feel engineered for festival blowouts and late-night sessions alike.
From the outset, ghost.’s meticulous sound design is on full display: heavily processed vocal chops, granular noise and astute switch-ups in the b-section punctuate transitions, mimicking the collapse and regeneration of circuitry.
