Steered by Matt FX, a cultural agitator and celebrated curator with 15 years in the biz, Non-Friction launches in September 2025 with a rapid-fire run of releases from Matt and a crew of co-conspirators stretching across North America from Mexico City to Montreal.

*MIRA COMO BAILO (SEPT 12)

“Mira Como Bailo” marks the label’s debut with a collab between label-head Matt FX and Mexico City super-producer Dan Solo. A jubilant, 303-laced groover, it urges the crowd to take notice: ‚watch me dance, see what I got!‘ Equal parts floor-filler and meta statement, it’s a bold first step for the newly minted label.

KAWASAKI (SEP 19)

“Kawasaki” is a three-way collab between New York artists Kristos and Mona Matsuoka alongside Matt FX. Built around a cheeky bassline and a striking one-word vocal sample, Kawasaki kicks into gear with an exhilarating pulse, distilling far flung elements of minimal, tech house, and ’90s jock jam into the sound of a gripping ride through dim-lit city streets.

MAKE IT STRONG (SEP 26)

“Make It Strong”, from Montreal mainstay The Fitness, is a floor-filling late night gem, pulling the listener in with a hypnotic vocal mantra while a buoyant after-hours pulse keeps the room moving. A serious production with whimsical spirit, Make It Strong marks the start of a new era for The Fitness at his new home.

SAUTÉ (OCT 3)

“Sauté” is the fourth and final release in Non-Friction’s rollout and the latest from Maximum Flavour, aka Matt FX and forgotten italo disco superstar Giorgio Beatsaface. A follow-up to their debut ‚Chef’s Kiss‘, Sauté is an unrelenting, through-composed ride through the fire, drawing from the duo’s Italo roots and the pulse of EU rave revival to deliver a finale worthy of the label’s opening statement.
