“FAULTLINE” is a record born in motion, and a sonic universe born from world-spanning collaboration drawn together through timing, friendship, and a shared pulse that cuts across continents. What began as scattered sessions and late-night exchanges has converged into something vivid and whole: a project grounded by its release in Amsterdam, at midnight, on the eve of ADE, during OT301’s Alternative Amsterdam Dance Event night at OT301, hosted by The Tabula Rasa Record Company, and Amsterdam native, Malvae – a gathering of kindred artists who helped bring this work to life.
Each track on FAULTLINE captures a different collision of worlds: the long-brewing chemistry of “INSANE” with AUST; the sudden electricity of “HOLLOW” with GANZ; the temporal bridge of “TREMOR” with uramaki and “RHYTHM REIGNS” with Bastian Benjamin all map a shifting terrain together, telling a story that moves through time but feels, and is, tethered by a singular, kinetic energy.
This ethos bleeds into every layer of the release from its sound to its artwork and even its timing. Created in tandem with visual artist Etienne Cootjans, the imagery behind FAULTLINE distills the tension of moments right before they unfold: a tear about to fall, a candle about to extinguish, an hourglass on the edge of empty. The world holding its breath before the break.
As the clock strikes midnight in Amsterdam on release day (24, Oct, 2025), FAULTLINE will surface for the first time as a shared moment and as a convergence of artists, sound, and light marking (appropriately, we think) the threshold of the worlds biggest dance music gathering.
Artist Quote – „“FAULTLINE” unfolded through collaboration and through those moments where creative paths cross and something new takes shape. Each track captures a different connection: “INSANE” with AUST began more than two years ago, while “HOLLOW” with GANZ came together just recently. “TREMOR” with uramaki and “RHYTHM REIGNS” with Bastian Benjamin bridge those timelines, creating a story that moves through time but feels unified by energy.
These artists are more than collaborators, they’re friends I’ve evolved alongside. We share a similar drive and technical depth, and that makes creating together fluid and inspiring. The process wasn’t about defining boundaries but dissolving them, letting each session become its own dialogue between worlds. “FAULTLINE” reflects that exchange, where contrast turns into connection, and individuality becomes collective motion.
The visual direction, created together with longtime collaborator and friend Etienne Cootjans, extends this idea into the visual realm, capturing the tension of moments right before they unfold. A tear about to fall. A candle moments from going out. An hourglass on the edge of empty. A finger frozen mid-snap. Each image lives in that fragile instant of anticipation, the space between motion and stillness, mirroring how these collaborations came to life: spontaneous, connected, and charged with energy just before release.““
