East London producer and DJ IZCO, who will announce his debut album ‚Powerscroft‘ alongside first single ‚Strike a Pose‘. The full project is out 1 May via Brownswood Recordings.
Named after the road where he grew up, ‚Powerscroft‘ is a personal and expansive record that brings together jungle, broken beat, grime, garage, soul and dub. It reflects a decade spent shaping UK dance music from the ground up, capturing the energy of the dancefloor while staying rooted in memory, identity and instinct.
The first single ‚Strike a Pose‘, out 4 February, features Camille Munn and blends broken beat, garage and soul. The track explores change, resilience and self growth, offering a powerful introduction to IZCO’s world. As he explains, it reflects the moment when someone changes and becomes hard to recognise, while Camille Munn describes it as pushing forward through emotional mastery and inner understanding.
Alongside the album, IZCO has announced a run of UK tour dates from March to May, culminating at London’s Jazz Cafe.
IZCO began his career making grime beats for artists including Capo Lee, Novelist and Reek0, before becoming a key figure in the UK’s evolving garage and dance landscape. His credits include PinkPantheress’ breakout track Passion, created with Jkarri, as well as work with Katy B, Greentea Peng and reggae icon Bob Andy. He has toured globally, played Glastonbury, Outlook and We Out Here, and recently toured Europe with Nia Archives.
IZCO is available for interviews, editorials, guest mixes, podcasts and more. Release timeline
