Another Couple are Becky and Timy, a married couple with two kids and a home studio in Bodrum, on Turkey’s south-west coast. She sings, plays electric and acoustic guitar and writes the words. He produces, DJs and runs the machines. In A New Life is their first single as Another Couple.
The record was written in 2022. The Moog bassline was recorded in one take. The guitar is a live take from a New Year’s Eve. It then sat untouched for four years. In 2026 they pulled it back out, finished it with Victor Ayuso (Tileyard, London) on additional production, mix and master, and made it the first release of a new project. A song about starting a new life became the thing that started one.
Vocal-led melodic house at 120 BPM. Emotional and spacey rather than peak-time, with a soft break at 4:30 that drops back in big at 5:20. For listeners of Elder Island, The xx and Fred again..

Artist Quote – „The song is about raving with your true love, having the time of your life and you don’t want the night to end. Somehow you feel like you’re meant to be together and your souls have been and will be together in different lives, over and over again.
It’s also about the oneness and togetherness that radiates out to everyone else on the dance floor in a certain kind of magical rave. It’s the feeling that we’ll all meet again somewhere, in another life, maybe in another timeline or a parallel universe.“
