Following the release of its debut compilation, Crate 001, Jeddah-based underground label Peachez in Crates returns with Crate001-1, the first in a series of individual artist releases expanding on the original project. Landing 23 October 2026, the four-track digital release puts the spotlight on Johannesburg-based producer BNinjas, with a remix from Icelandic beatmaker Intr0beatz and a fresh take on a track from the inaugural compilation.

A rising voice in South Africa’s electronic underground, BNinjas brings a distinctly dusty, groove-led approach to deep house. Drawing on MPC-driven swing, raw drum programming, soulful melodies and subtle acid touches, his productions balance understated complexity with a warm, dancefloor-focused vibe.

Opening cut ‘Inverts’ sets the pace with deep, lo-fi funk and a loose, low-slung groove. ‘Piccolo is Purple’ picks things up, pairing warm Rhodes chords with trippy vocal samples for a playful, hypnotic workout. Icelandic producer Intr0beatz then takes the track deeper, reshaping its elements into a more understated, late-night excursion.

Closing the release, BNinjas turns his attention to Marlon George’s ‘Lonyo’, originally featured on Crate 001. His remix brings the project full circle, revisiting one of the compilation’s cuts while giving it a fresh perspective.

Rooted in Chicago house, deep jack and hip-hop culture, Peachez in Crates is building a catalogue that connects underground artists across borders. Curated by DJ and label founder Anmarz, the project grows out of Peachez’s event series in Jeddah, with a focus on authentic music, international collaboration and community.

With Crate001-1, that journey continues: four cuts of deep, soulful and unpretentious house, made for heads who know their grooves.
