1. Your recent EP „Artefakt I: Noisy Thoughts“ on Senso Sounds explores very intense sounds. Can you tell us about the creative process behind these tracks and how you developed the concept of the EP?

Answer: With this release specifically, I had my mind set on Senso Sounds. Oliver Huntemann and I had spoken occasionally about releasing on his label, but with this EP I was able to seal the deal. So keeping that in mind I worked on a sound that would fit the label while staying true to my identity.

2. Your career has seen you grow into a key figure both in the Middle East and beyond. What challenges have you faced along the way, and how have you overcome them?

Answer: It was challenging being an aspiring DJ and producer in a country that had only just started exploring the electronic music scene. Just being able to get my first booking outside of Lebanon was an achievement. But once I was able to play for bigger and further audiences, my music spoke for itself and it became easier to grow.

3. Your sets stand out for the fusion of powerful rhythms and engaging vocals. How do you choose the vocals and sonic elements that define your music?

Answer: So there isn’t really any defined process. Sometimes, I have a beat and I skim through voice samples to see what sound fits to find a reference sample. Other times I might hear a voice sample first that’s so good that I will create a beat to go with it.

4. Senso Sounds is a prestigious label led by Oliver Huntemann. What impact has this collaboration had on your style and musical vision?

Answer: This collaboration was one step in the right direction, it was a challenge and I overcame it. This is one of many musical visions I have, it doesn’t stop here.

5. How would you describe the Lebanese music scene, and what role do you think you play within it?

Answer: Beirut’s music scene is always evolving, but it has consistently been home to incredibly talented artists and a vibrant cultural movement. It’s been an honor to represent Lebanon wherever I go around the world, and I hope this inspires young Lebanese artists to dream big.

6. Your work has been recognized by many peers in the industry. What’s the most significant feedback you’ve received so far, and how has it influenced your artistic journey?

Answer: Honestly, yes as peers we always encourage each other and I have had support from many artists. However, my main influence will always be from the people, the crowd and how they react to my music. It has always been my indicator, and so far it’s working.

7. Looking ahead, what projects and ambitions do you hope to achieve in the coming years?

Answer: For the coming year I’m planning the release of my first ever album, which is super exciting. There are also plans for a more expansive strategy to have tours in North & South America and Asia.
