A no-brainer for dub techno fans in Berlin. Plötze is happy to invite you to the first edition of our in-house event series. For this very special edition, we would like to take you back with us on a sound exploration journey to the very heart of the electronic music scene. The line-up is formed by a range of artists that we believe, have influenced and formed the international, as well as the local berlin music scene in their own unique way.

Moritz von Oswald began his musical career as a percussionist in the 1980s, after which he moved to Berlin and became an in-house producer for the Tresor Record label. In 1993 he founded the label and live-act “Basic Channel”. Basic Channel is still perceived as one of the most influential labels that has shaped the techno scene of Berlin in the 1990s.

The Dominican Paul st Hilaire aka Tikiman started collaborating with von Oswald and Fehlmann as a vocalist for their project Rythm and Sound in the mid 1990s. He incorporated his background of reggae and dub into electronic music, shaping the foundation of the local dub techno scene. He was joined later by the Canadian producer Deadbeat and forms a live duo that explores the boundaries of contemporary dub influenced electronic music.

The program is complemented by the hypnotic house sound of DJ Dustin, one of the co-founders of Giegling. The First Lady of raving and vibrant French artist rRoxymore, completes the bill and embodies everything that will make you move.
