Malandra Jr readies new EP ‘Roulette Roulotte’, out 5th September, marking as his debut release on recognised label Human By Default.
The EP drives forward with heavy-duty basslines, vocal samples and hypnotic Middle-Eastern inspired synths, channeling Malandra’s signature energy into a fierce, Italo-charged ride. Title track ‘Roulette Roulotte’ is built for intensity and movement, while the second track ‘El After En Cali’ also captures a raw momentum that ignites the floor with pure exhilaration.
The Italian artist’sattitude-filled punkish take on house and techno has found its way onto important electronic labels as of late, including Stil Vor Talent, Diynamic, Kinetika Music, Watergate Records, Exe Audio, Renaissance Records, and more.
Simonpietro Malandra’srelationship with music started young when he learned piano classically and studied clarinet, winning awards, before studying classical music at Accademia Teatro alla Scala, a renowned art school in Milan. Shortly after his time there, he applied his skills from classical to electronic music, utilising his deep understanding of melody, harmony and rhythm to create dancefloor tracks with innate musicality.
Launching with a huge debut on Human By Default, Malandra Jr drops ‘Roulette Roulotte’ on 5th September.
