Polish Freedom Parade (Parada Wolności) will take place in Lodz (Poland) between 29th and 31st of August. This street event started in the 90s, then took a break, because local politicians were fighting against techno demonstrations.
„ParadaWolności” has returned 4 years ago and this year it will last… 3 days, so you can start planning your city break in the city of Lodz, called also „The Polish Manchester”.

Freedom Parade returns to the Sports Arena in Łódź for the after party- as it did in the 1990s – back to the roots, presenting techno in its strongest and purest form and freshly announced line-up speaks for itself: Adriana Lopez b2b Fadi Mohem, Baugruppe90, Ben Klock b2b Marcel Dettmann, Dax J and Rene Wise b2b MKO.

Freedom Parade 2025 – free street demo and a massive after party: This year, the parade’s main stage will be taken over by Spanish techno giant Blackworks collective, who grow stronger and stronger on the world techno scene and play at the biggest festivals. On the main stage in the centre of Lodz you will dance to the hard techno sounds delivered by such big names as Nicolas Julian, Nikolina, David Moleon, Dexphase b2b Skryption, Luciid b2b Caiva.

Parade will take place as always in Lodz’s most famous Piotrkowska street , where you will rave to different dance music ( from drum’n’bass to house and techno) played on the trucks. You can expect there floats with DJ’s and DJ-collectives representing the leading clubs.
The Freedom Parade ( being supported by the female mayor of the city – Mrs Hanna Zdanowska) represents the idea of openness and diversity – everyone is welcome, everyone is free to express his peronality in the dance. And the last day of the parade – Sunday – will be dedicated the roots of the club culture and … house music.

The afterparty on Saturday will feature real legends of the Berlin scene – Ben Klock and Marcel Dettmann, residents of the iconic Berghain / Panorama Bar. For the first time in over a decade, they will play a joint B2B set in Poland, which is sure to delight fans of classic techno.
Speaking of pure underground: BAUGRUPPE90 joins the line up – the dynamically rising Berlin duo who have been winning the hearts of listeners in recent years with energetic selections full of fast, groovy bangers.

But it doesn’t end there – Lodz will also be visited by a leading representative of the Colombian techno scene – Adriana Lopez, who has been presenting raw, hypnotic and powerful sounds for over two decades. She will be accompanied by Fadi Mohem – one of Berghain’s most exciting young faces, who with his music perfectly balances the classics with a fresh, modern approach.

For lovers of harder sounds, Dax J – one of the most uncompromising and influential DJ’s and producers of recent years – will be performing.
IT BEGAN IN LODZ IN 1997

For many years this techno- street parade was remembered by the citizens of Łódź as a culturally and socially important event shaping the modern character of the city. There were lots of stories about crowds of colourfully dressed people coming from all over Poland and celebrate their love for techno, hardcore and house music.

80.000 RAVERS DANCING IN THE STREETS

During the edition in 2002, you could see over 80.000 ravers dancing in the streets of Łódź, while in 2024 there was a party crowd of about 60.000 ravers. The Freedom Parade in Lodz was inspired by Berlin’s own Love Parade and it became a spectacular event and celebration that united the country’s techno/house/jungle scene for years.

In the late 90’s, a team associated with DJ’s and musicians from Łódź gathered around New Alcatraz Underground Party Organization (a community of artists associated with the New Alcatraz club created a pioneering festival of club culture.
