1. „Legacy“ is a powerful title — what does this track represent to you, and what message were you aiming to convey through it?
“Every action carries a legacy, shaped by the past, or shaping the future. Legacy is foundation, meaning, and consistency. It is powerful. I only underlined it.”
2. Your sound blends intensity and depth while remaining unmistakably yours. How do you find the balance between experimentation and stylistic consistency?
“My career in music production spans nearly 20 years. Over time, I’ve come to recognize the thin line that defines both my character and my style. I try to keep that line in constant evolution. It’s difficult, and honestly, I’m not always sure how. But I keep trying.”
3. Your music moves across techno, DnB, and synthwave — how do these influences come together in your creative process?
“Listening to music is what triggers my artistic process. Inspiration is the key to constantly evolving sound. It’s an exercise that comes naturally, growing alongside my passion for music.”
4. You’ve released music on labels like Nothing But and Exodus Recordings, exploring various techno subgenres. How do you choose the sonic direction of a new production?
“My respectable past in Trance, under a different alias and with support from major names like Ferry Corsten, Giuseppe Ottaviani, Paul Oakenfold, and Judge Jules, to name a few, probably explains my openness to different genres. Historically, Techno has always been close to Trance, and it’s the subgenre that aligns most naturally with my current sound.”
5. On Beatport, your tracks span subgenres like Raw/Deep/Hypnotic and Peak Time / Driving. Is there one you currently feel most connected to?
“I do, indeed. These genres are the ones that truly align with me, high BPM, powerful energy. Pretty strong stuff. But CNS also has a very artistic side, and this is a perfect example of it. It’s probably the most creative expression of CNS, and I absolutely love it. Big 3D component, the heart of this specific side of CNS!”
6. Cyber Neural Sounds is a name that evokes a futuristic world. How important is the connection between technology and music in shaping your artistic identity?
“Technology is important, but over the years I’ve realized it can easily pull you down the rabbit hole. In other words, you have to make sure it doesn’t overtake creativity, or worse, become an excuse for inconclusive or poor results. Let’s be clear: technology is not a gateway to art. It’s just a tool. The art has to come from you.”
7. Looking ahead — are you already working on new projects or collaborations after the release of „Legacy“? What can we expect next from CNS?
“Lately, it’s been a lot more Techno, all kinds, across various BPMs. At the same time, I’m diving deeper into more artistic and introspective projects like Legacy. I also have a very special album waiting to be released, a sonic journey that explores themes of life, politics, and human rights, all reflected through the depth of synths and the dynamics of sound.”
