Defex, the Bavarian-Ibizencan wildcat and long-time underground force, returns to Poker Flat with a monster of a track. The story began when Defex sent an instrumental track to Steve Bug, the driving bassline already giving it the working title “Zaxndi” – Bavarian slang roughly translating to “what the hell” (a local spin on “Sacre dieu”).
Steve Bug instantly signed it but suggested a male vocal might take it to the next level. Defex didn’t have to think twice and called on Maniac, one of Bavaria’s most distinctive rappers, who delivered with razor-sharp verses full of playful word twists, including his lyrical play on “rash giving” – decisive like an allergy.
The result is a ferocious hybrid of raw house energy, a mad bassline and a fearless rap, a track that balances club-ready intensity with wild charisma, while the instrumental version provides DJs with a more direct tool for the floor.
