THE WARLOCKS
Los Angeles-based psychedelic rock band, led by founding member Bobby Hecksher, bring their hypnotic sound to Berlin as part of their European tour following the release of In Between Sad (2023). Known for their blend of garage rock, shoegaze, and Velvet Underground-inspired drone, The Warlocks have carved out a cult following with albums like Surgery, The Mirror Explodes, and Mean Music Machine.

In Between Sad, written after the loss of Hecksher’s brother, showcases the band’s darker edge and new electronic textures, adding ’80s synths and drum machines to their swirling psych-rock foundation. Expect an intense, immersive set from one of LA’s most enduring and evolving underground acts.

Tokyo-based psychedelic quartet, they have released their debut album, Stray Birds From the Far East, via King Volume Records and Kozmik Artifactz. Blending dreamy, pop-tinged psych rock with acid folk, tribal rhythms, and touches of metal and techno, the album evokes a nostalgic journey to an imagined place.

The band—Masami Makino (vocals, guitar), Sebun (guitar), Vincent (bass), and Hibiki Amano (drums)—draws from influences as varied as J.A. Seazer, Far East Family Band, Kikagaku Moyo, and Jimi Hendrix. Recorded at Tokyo’s Tsubame Studio with Yui Kimijima, the album features experimental elements like a tarai (tin tub) on the track “Tears of the Sun,” highlighting their improvisational spirit.

Their live shows are known for their high energy and exploratory soundscapes.
