TIME TRAVEL HEAR TODAY
Moor Mother & Guests
ensemble mosaik
A Tilman Hecker project
Neue Nationalgalerie Berlin 7. – 10. Januar 2026
For four January nights, parts of the Neue Nationalgalerie’s glass hall will turn into an interactive concert-installation and become a stage for poet, activist, and musician Moor Mother. Her practice, influenced by experimental hip-hop free jazz and archival exploration, will meet one of Berlin’s premiere institutions of contemporary classical musik, the ensemble mosaik. Their exchange will be supported by a series of virtuosic solo instrumentalists, thinkers, and members of the audience. Together, all will engage in musical and philosophical time travel and explore alternative ways of temporal thinking.
The four consecutive evenings each offer a unique combination of composed and improvised music, lectures, performances, workshops, and interactive elements. As each night is different, repeat visits are strongly encouraged.
