Ein Festival wie eine Wundertüte: Das Down by the River hat mal wieder seine Fühler ausgestreckt. Mit unermüdlichem Entdeckergeist hat es sich in den Tiefen des Berliner Live-Kosmos herumgetrieben und die Winkel des Internets durchstöbert. Seine musikalischen Fundstücke präsentiert das „Festival für unerhörte und windschiefe Töne“ am 6. Juli 2025 bei seiner 14. Ausgabe, erneut im idyllisch-anarchischen Garten-Ambiente des ://about blank in Friedrichshain. Das Programm wirbelt durch die Genres und den regionalen Underground, schweift quer über den Planeten und dringt sogar bis ins Weltall vor. Wer kommt mit?

Ladies, gents, and nonbinary superstars… start your engines – it’s time to shine again, because Germany’s most colorful burlesque festival, the 5th BOYLESQUE DRAG FESTIVAL at the beautiful WINTERGARTEN VARIETÉ BERLIN, is entering its fifth anniversary. And because we had so much fun with our trip to Cologne last year and had a packed house, we’re hosting another sensational evening at the beautiful GLORIA KÖLN as part of COLOGNE PRIDE.

After sold-out performances in 2019, 2022, 2023, and 2024, we’ll be bringing Germany’s queerest burlesque festival back to the stage for the fifth year with a fantastic lineup. During PRIDE MONTH 2025 and the PRIDE WEEKENDS (CSD BERLIN 2025/COLOGNEPRIDE 2025), we invite over 40 drag artists, cabaret icons, acrobats, and performance artists from around the world to the metropolis to celebrate all forms of transformation.
Drag kings, queens, and nonbinary superstars in glittering runway looks will lip-sync, dance, sing live, and/or tease on three evenings in two cities with completely different lineups. Das diesjährige Festival findet im @dstrkt_berlin (ehemals Anomalie) statt. Der Veranstaltungsort wurde komplett neu erfunden – jede Etage wurde renoviert und der Open-Air-Bereich wurde komplett neu gestaltet. Wir sind begeistert und dankbar, es wieder unser Zuhause nennen zu dürfen.

Der 2. Stock wird in der ersten Nacht von unseren Freunden von @halfbakedrecords und @yoyaku.fr bewirtet. Die zweite Nacht wird von @buerro__ , @kommunabcn und @_omato_ kuratiert.

Darüber hinaus erwarten Sie Kunstinstallationen, dekorierte Böden, Musik von Anfang bis Ende und leckeres Essen von @osteriatressanti.
