Here they are , the ghosts, the myths, the ones that got away … as fate commanded, our two biggest remixes you can’t buy and in one case you never could .. we’ve tried every possible way to license them for our “PBR 20” comp album in 2023 but they remained as elusive as ever ..
Back in 2013 we were asked to remix Charlotte OC, an artist we knew through mutual friendship and had watched her career blossom from her teenage years to write this beautiful piece “Colour My Heart” it felt really special working on this from the off, her voice and her song writing has always inspired us to push what we could do ourselves. At the time it got a huge reaction and we released it on a limited edition vinyl with a beautiful rework of our remix by Paul Woolford.
A few months later off the back of this we were approached to remix Lana Del Rey for her new single UltraViolence, she is a huge deal now and at the time she was one of the biggest artists in the world.
Her team loved it , her label did too but alas it was decided to not give it a full release and now you can only find it on her Soundcloud page with about 1.5 million plays ..
The Charlotte OC remix suffered a similar fate..
despite it having gain over a million streams on Spotify alone, in the early 2020’s the remix completely disappeared from the platform and wis unavailable to buy anywhere else .. only the vinyl copy still exists on discogs ..
After years of deliberating we have decided to share them through our bandcamp page only.
We always like to think our best work is ahead of us, but these might be our best reworks to date and certainly two of the best vocals we’ve ever had the privilege to work with. So here they are, finally available together..
