We’re are back at Berlin’s most beautiful rooftop Klunkerkranich for an extra spooky Halloween edition of our monthly residency: But no need to be scared or worried about trick-or-treat! We made sure you get some of the best Halloween treat Berlin’s music scene has to offer by inviting the finest bands when it comes to beautiful dark sounds with a goosebumps guarantee. Enjoy the frightfully good sounds of HAWK, KILNAMANA and another band that we will announce soon. It’s music with a view. We are welcoming you for drinks, good music and a spectacular view all over this beautiful town!
HAWK
Somewhere between Grunge, Indie and Shoegaze HAWK found their musical sweet spot. Having been compared to acts such as Warpaint, Slow Dive or Radiohead HAWK combine an abrasive edge with celestial vocals to create a driving, expansive sound. HAWK’s acute social awareness is a trait that the band holds dear but without unravelling these ideas into brash political punk songs, they convey their message with beauty and grace to mirror the inequalities they witness in everyday life.
KILNAMANA
Berlin-based duo KILNAMANA have caused some stir with their first album „Paradise Suicide“, which was released via Jirafa Records, the record label of producer Kid Simius. Varying from relaxed, sunny tunes to expressions of melancholy in various states they composed the tracks with old keyboards, hand crafted sounds and improvised vocals.
