Nand Oo talks about the project:
„This project started few weeks ago without any plan and the main motivation was because I was bored and alone at home. My way to deal with my internal darkness was walking around the city, remembering the days when Iife was a bit different. Staying in front of the closed doors of clubs, while lighting a cigarette or having a beer before making a picture was part of my nostalgic rollercoaster of feelings.“
„I’m living in Berlin since 2012 and those clubs welcomed me and put me in contact with several great friends that are part of my life nowadays. The club culture in Berlin is important for their citizens and consequently for the whole city. The clubs also builds our collective identity. That’s why I think that the photos of lonely clubs reflect my lonleliness.“
„I’m playing with photography in the past 10 years, but I’m taking it more serious in the past 3 years. During this time I’m doing quite a lot of experiments and I guess I’m good merging and integrating different techniques. Nowadays one of my focus is converting photos to drawings.“
„I’m a robotic engineer and I’m fascinated about robots producing art. I have a small craziness laboratory at home with a 3D printer, a laser cutter and now I’m working on a plotter to draw on one of my walls. My goal is developing algorithms to translate pictures to large scale drawings.“
