About the Artists
Our first artist, Base Rose is a poet and performer based in Brussels. Her work explores love, vulnerability, and resilience through words spoken aloud not for the page, but for the stage. Writing is, for her, not a hobby but a necessity. A way to stay alive during difficult times. A place where silence becomes voice. When she began looking for an electronic musician who could help her bring her poetry into a new dimension, she wasn’t looking for just a beatmaker. She was looking for someone who understood emotion, rhythm, and space. That’s when she met Mattisix guitarist and electronic live performer and the connection was immediate. Their project, Base Rose, was born from this meeting. It’s not a band, not a duo in the traditional sense but a dialogue between word and sound, created live, every time
Next is Mattisix. The name comes from Matteo, and the six strings of his guitar. His music is a mix of Deep House, Organic Techno, and Melodic Techno, blending the warmth of live instruments with the precision of electronic machines.
In his live performances, he brings together his electric guitar, synths, and drum machines to create a unique and dynamic sound. It’s not about just pressing play—it’s about crafting something real and in the moment. Every performance is a chance to experiment, to take what he’s created in the studio and push it further, layering rhythms and melodies that evolve in real time.
For him, technology is just another tool to express emotion. Whether he’s using a guitar or a synth, it’s about finding the soul in every sound. His music is influenced by his background in jazz, rock, and trip-hop, but what he creates is always something new—a sound that’s both familiar and unexpected.
In the end, his goal is to create an experience where the lines between the organic and the electronic blur, where people can feel the energy of a live performance but also the depth and emotion in the sound.
