Dance All Night is a 4-track EP and, basically, my first real experiment as a producer in this kind of music. It came from wanting to step into a territory I respect, but that wasn’t really “my home,” and seeing what would happen if I worked it through my own way of understanding the night, the body, and the club.
This EP is not an artistic statement. It’s an honest experiment: getting into the language of club music from where I come from. Taking the structure, the pulse, the rawness of what I love about that scene… and running it through my own filter.
Throughout this whole process, working with Freebot was key — he was a guide and a huge inspiration.

Rosa Pistola is Laura Puentes, a Colombian who has been living in Mexico for 15 years. She is a cultural architect who implements her auditory technique in spaces and environments that were never imagined to be created by themselves. Within her is a passion to contribute her grain of sand to the world of reggaeton, and in doing so she aims to build on its roots and expand on the ways in which the genre can be understood. She has been part of underground projects oriented to noise and experimental music such as Mangina, Raters and Boy Band with works that were released under her own label, and finally in 2015 she headed to be a reggaeton DJ.
A specialist in underground, subversive and experimental reggaeton, Rosa Pistola always suggests a highly erotic and explosive atmosphere on the dancefloor. She participated in the first reggaeton Boiler Room in the world alongside DJ Playero, she participated in 2018 at Sónar festival in Barcelona, that same year she was one of the first reggaeton DJs to appear at the EDC Mexico festival, also playing alongside Ivy Queen and The Noise for RBMA, and she had a residency at RINSE FM.
Rosa has taken her path from being Mexico’s ‘most in-demand’ reggaeton DJ’ far onto the world stage with appearances at Unsound, Late Night Tales, De School, Panorama Bar, Moma PS1, NY. , Primavera Sound, Sonic Acts, Panorama Bar, and Nyege Nyege Festival. In 2024 she will play in South Africa, China, Taipei, Australia and New Zealand for the first time. A full festival season across Europe including Glastonbury, WHOLE and Roskilda. With new music planned for the Autumn and a tour in North America.
In 2020 launched her first corrido (Mexican regional music) sung by Ely Quintero and presented her first UNDER MX radio show on NTS, she has performed with renowned Latin American artists such as Molotov and Santa Fe Klan. In 2021 she started her official urban sound label and set up a recording studio which she called „La Chekera REC“ alongside a radio program on Vans Channel 66 called „Sonido Ilegal“ and another with NTS about the history and important characters in underground reggaeton. She has curated the Cumbiaton Total compilation in Collaboration with NTS Radio and in 2023 produced and directed the Estado de Reggaeton Documentary.
