Boot & Tax – CELESTE EP (RolloverMilanoRecords002)
RELEASE DATE –
Vinyl – 6th December 2019
Digital – 28th Feb 2020
Rollover Milano present their 2nd record, the super chic party crew from Italy do not disappoint. Continuing the theme of their legendary nights and the music that is played there. The Celeste EP sees Boot & Tax take the spotlight. You may recognise them from their 2013 bomb the “Acido Ep” on Optimo Trax.
These guys are two of the most popular and respected djs/producers of the Italian electronic scene, and they put their great passion for analog synths and deep knowledge of Italo music to great use.
Opening the EP “Celeste” is a Carpenter esk patient groover. Stripped back to an essential core, the rhythm and memorable bass line keep you locked throughout.
“Tempo” follows the road of keeping things stripped and powerful, fewer elements but in a maximized soundscape. Delicious fx work and intricate touches really make this one shine.
For the last original piece on the EP we have “Vortice”, crunchy and raw – freaked out melodics and fucked up beats. This is the track that keeps growing and growing.
On remix duty and closing out the EP we have Fatnotronic. The brazilian outfit deliver their re interpretation of the title track Celeste. Their steady paced remix the equivalent of calling in the Disco heavy artillery.
Out soon on Rollover.

ROLLOVER MILANO RECORDS
Celeste is the second release by Rollover Milano Records, the brand new label created by Rollover and led by Rollover Djs (Tiberio Carcano and Rocco Fusco)
Rollover Milano is a weekly party based in Milan at Apollo Club every Friday since 2012 with international underground (and not) house djs such as 2manydjs, Young Marco,Bicep, Gerd Janson, Honey Dijon, Red Axes,John Talabot just to name a few. After 7 years now we want to focus on the label too: creating a music landmark for the italian djs here in Milan, discovering new talents and confirming the exiting ones.
Boot & Tax is the name of the self-effacing duo exploded at the end of 2013 with the Acido Ep on Optimo Trax, the offshoot label of JD Twitch’s Optimo Music for tracks aimed at DJs/dancefloors. The italian duo from Milan is composed by Cristian Croce (aka Henry Cane, art director of Discosafari, founder of Ruvido Records and also part of The Barking Dogs) and Claudio Brioschi (dj & producer known as Brioski). The guys are two of the most popular and respected djs/producers of the Italian electronic scene. With a great passion for analog synths and experimentation and a deep knowledge of both clubbing and studio situations, Boot & Tax have released a number of acclaimed Eps, an Lp and various remixes which brought them touring across Europe, both with their explosive live show and with their engaging dj set.
“Almost two years after their last work, Boot & Tax made a solid EP for Rollover Milanese label. The sound has changed with respect to the times of Fusci or Occhi Blue, here they are oriented towards electronic horizons, totally ready for the dance floor. Celeste the name of the EP and also lead track evokes sea and sky in a fantastic dream of midsummer. A bass line made the waves and you can surf on the magic atmosphere of the pad. Tempo is the time with which we enjoy our heavenly dream on the sea: the hard and powerful bass line is like an arrow in your soul and finally ‘Vortice’ closes our dream by sweeping away all negative energy like the calm before the storm. Celestial poetry”
